Pilar Bustamante graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from La Javeriana University in Colombia where she was born and raised. Since moving to Rye in 2002, Pilar has embraced teaching her native language. She taught Spanish at the Little Language League as well as the after school Spanish programs at Osborn and Milton schools. Pilar taught 11th graders at Keio Academy, a Japanese private school in Purchase. Additionally, she has worked as a substitute teacher at the Whitby School in Greenwich and in Port Chester schools. During this time, Pilar also completed a Master of Administrative Science, Diplomacy, and International Relations at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
