Caren Osten is a certified positive psychology Life Coach, and did her training with the Wholebeing Institute. As a life coach, Caren works individually with people of all ages. She leads two workshops—The Write Balance, which focuses on expressive writing grounded in concepts of positive psychology, such as gratitude, resilience, and the mind-body connection; and The Right Balance for high school girls, providing young women with a “tool kit” to reduce stress, nurture resilience and increase overall happiness. Caren has studied Mindfulness & Character Strengths in Coaching and MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). During the summer, Caren volunteers at Camp BroaderWay, teaching meditation, mindfulness and expressive writing to young, urban girls from New York City. Caren is a contributor to the New York Times and writes a column in PsychologyToday.com.
