We’ll begin with a private tour of Washington Irving’s storybook cottage home, decked out for the Halloween season. The tour will be followed by a special discussion of his most famous ghost story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” led by Elizabeth L. Bradley, PhD, a Larchmont resident who has edited several of Irving’s books and serves as Vice President for Programs and Engagement at Historic Hudson Valley. Following the discussion, meet Historic Hudson Valley curator Jessa Krick and take a sneak peek at some rare “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” editions and ephemera. We’ll finish our day with a box lunch (provided) in the courtyard of Sunnyside.
