Welcome to The Center for Continuing Education program. The Center offers a broad array of courses designed to cultivate learning and enrich the lives of adults. Some 2,500 students per year register for courses ranging from computer training to foreign languages to the visual arts, dance, exercise, cooking and film appreciation. Our mission is to provide the community with quality life-long learning opportunities at affordable prices.

The Center is a non-for-profit organization with roots dating back over 80 years in our community.  The Center became independent from the Mamaroneck School District in 1973 and today, as a self-supporting organization, our operating budget is funded entirely from course fees. State-funded classes such as High School Equivalency and English-as-a-Second-Language are offered in cooperation with Southern Westchester BOCES. In alliance with the Mamaroneck School District, we administer academic summer school classes for high school students. Members of the community enrolled in our enrichment classes benefit from the wonderful facilities found in the Mamaroneck School District including computer labs, gymnasiums, and studio art rooms. The District’s buildings are a hub of constant activity throughout the day and evening, a reminder that learning never really ends.

We pride ourself on being a community-minded program. I welcome your thoughts and ideas, whether you have a suggestion for a new course or are interested in teaching one. Whatever your interests, we’re excited to offer you an excellent program filled with educational, informative and motivating courses. I look forward to seeing you in the classroom and thank you for supporting The Center for Continuing Education.
