| Independent Films: Now and Forever ! - Mondays | Mike Di Gennaro |
| What makes watching an independent film such a satisfying experience? It has something to do with looking at life from an artist's perspective, rather than from that of the Hollywood dream machine. The independent film stimulates thought, emotions and provokes questions. Each screening will be preceded by an introduction and followed by a lecture and discussion. Dr. Michael DiGennaro, a distinguished instructor for the Center, recently retired from the Mamaroneck High School English Department.
EVE006: 5 Mondays: October 4, 18, November 8, 22 & December 6. 7-10 pm. MHS Post Tiered Classroom. |

We’ll meet before each performance and your instructor, tenor Eric Jennings, will discuss the history and individual merits of each opera (and libretto) and its place in the society and culture of the period. We’ll watch video and listen to audio of the music, enhancing your enjoyment and theatrical experience of the performances. Prof. Jennings sang professionally in Europe and America after receiving his Masters from the Manhattan School of Music. Students will view the opera performances on their own.
