General Information/Directions

Registration: Most classes have limited enrollment, act now to avoid disappointment.

Three Easy Ways to Register:

1. On-Line using a credit card at www.LMCCE.org

2. Through the mail. Include a registration card (print from this website) and check made payable to Center for Continuing Education and mail to Center for Continuing Education, 1000 W. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY 10543.

3. In person. Our office is open 9am - 1pm, Monday - Friday. We are located in room 126 of the Palmer Building, Mamaroneck High School.

We do not send confirmations of registration. If you are in doubt of your registration, call our office at 698- 9126.

Web Processing Fee In order to maintain this on-line web site service, each registration will be assessed a $3.00 processing fee. This pertains to web registrations only and is waived for mail-in or walk-in registrations. If you register at one time for multiple classes or students, you will be charged this fee only once. However, if you return to the web site at another time for additional registrations, you will be charged this fee again.

Vacation and Holidays Evening and Day classes will not meet September 29 & 30, October 1, 9 & 13 and November 11, 26, 27 & 28. In addition, Evening classes will not meet on October 8, the eve of Yom Kippur and Day classes will not meet October 14 & 20. Classes will meet on November 4, Superintendent's Conference Day.

Inclement Weather If the Mamaroneck School District cancels school, Continuing Education classes will be cancelled as well. If there is a one-hour delay, morning classes will begin 1/2 hour late; if there is a two-hour delay, no morning classes will be held, but afternoon and evening classes will meet as scheduled. If weather conditions become severe later in the day, cancellation will be announced over radio stations WVOX (1460 AM) and WFAS (1230 AM), call 220-EMER or check the web-site, www.mamkschools.org.

Senior Citizen Discount When offered, senior citizen discounts appear next to the regular tuition. The age for senior citizen is 60.

Refunds and Withdrawals We will refund your tuition:

1. In the event that your course is cancelled due to low enrollment

2. If the course you registered for is filled, we will place your name on a waiting list and refund your money (or return your check).

3. If you withdraw from a class 5 business days or more prior to the start date, we will issue you a refund, less a $10 processing fee. Trip refunds (less the $10) will be issued only if we receive your notice of cancellation 3 weeks prior to the scheduled date.

No other refunds will be granted, for any reason. No discount will be given for missed classes.

Residents of Other Communities Residents of other communities are welcome to enroll in all our courses at the same tuition rates as residents.

Gift Certificates Gift certificates are available for all of our classes. Please call the office at 698-9126 for more information.

Larchmont Mamaroneck Continuing Education is a community oriented organization. We recognize the importance of life long learners and offer educational, recreational, and cultural activities at a nominal cost. Our goal is to serve the community and we welcome suggestions for our constantly changing curriculum.

Class Locations

Most evening classes are held at Mamaroneck High School, which consists of two buildings, Palmer and Post Road. Due to safety rules, only two entrances will be open on evenings when classes are in session. These entrances are: Post Road (main entrance by parking lot) and Palmer (main entrance by flag pole in circle driveway). Daytime classes are held at various locations in Larchmont and Mamaroneck. MHS-Post Road Mamaroneck H.S., Post Road Building,1000 West Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. Located between Richbell Road and Rockland Avenue on Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 1), across the street from the Equinox Gym. Park in the lot off the Boston Post Road. Enter through the main entrance (when facing the building, the doors to your extreme right)in the glass encased stairwell. DO NOT ENTER THROUGH ANY OTHER DOOR.
MHS-Palmer Mamaroneck H.S., Palmer Building, Palmer Avenue, Mamaroneck. Located across the street from Walter’s Hot Dog Stand. Park on Palmer Ave. and walk up the hill or turn onto Rockland Avenue from either Palmer Ave. or Boston Post Rd., turn onto Carpenter Street, park in lot on left. Or at stop sign, make a right and your first left into the school's driveway to park in faculty parking parallel to the building. Enter through the main entrance, near the circle driveway and flag pole. DO NOT ENTER THROUGH ANY DOOR OTHER THAN THE MAIN ENTRANCE.
Central School 1100 Palmer Avenue, Larchmont. Located off Palmer Avenue, one block north of Weaver Street.
Larchmont Avenue Church 60 Forest Park Avenue, Larchmont. Located at the intersection of Forest Park and Larchmont Avenues, two blocks west of Boston Post Road.
Weaver Street Firehouse Auditorium 205 Weaver Street, Larchmont. Across from Sts. John and Paul Church. Park on either Hillcrest Ave. or Edgewood Pl. DO NOT PARK IN THE BACK LOT. Enter Auditorium through back door to second floor.
Hommocks Middle School Hommocks Road, Larchmont. Located on Hommocks Road. (extension of Weaver Street), one block east of the Boston Post Road behind BlockBuster Video. Enter through the school's main entrance, not the Hommock's Pool entrance.
Hommocks Ice Rink Hommocks Middle School, Hommocks Road, Larchmont. Located on Hommocks Road. (extension of Weaver St.), one block east of the Boston Post Road behind BlockBuster Video. Park at far right end of school parking lot and follow pathway to the building. Or park in Flint Park. Community Room is in the back of the Ice Rink.
Larchmont Temple 75 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont. Take Boston Post Road to Larchmont Avenue, turn east (toward Long Island Sound). Temple is 3 blocks down on the left at the corner of Willow Avenue. Enter through the side door on Willow Avenue. Park on Willow Avenue or Larchmont Avenue.
